Schedule A Group Visit
Madison Children’s Museum offers self-guided explorations of the museum for groups of ten or more children. Group visits are best designed for children from birth through age 8. Each visit lasts from an hour to an hour and a half. Group rates are available for schools, child care centers, and nonprofit community organizations. The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission for large groups visiting without a reservation.
Guidelines
The museum requires 1 chaperone per 5 children. Chaperones are admitted for free at a ratio of up to 1 chaperone per every 3 children. Additional chaperones are $3 each. Children under 1 are free. School groups with fewer than 10 children are charged for a minimum of 10 children.
Schedule and Rates
Available group visit times:
Mondays, 12 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Tuesdays -Fridays, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Regular group visit rate is $3 per child. A sliding scale rate is available for groups with a certain percentage of their students on free/reduced hot lunch or other aid programs. The sliding scale is as follows:
0-29% - $3/child
30-49% - $2/child
50-74% - $1/child
75% or more - $.25/child
