Winter Wonder Week

Come celebrate winter at the museum and play one last time on State Street during Winter Wonder Week! There are different themed drop-in programs every day from Dec. 28-31.

Monday, Dec. 28: “Winter Wildlife”
Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Drop-In Program: Penguin Fun, 11 a.m. – noon
Drop-In Program: Animal Insulation, 2 – 3 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 29: “Winter Holidays”
Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Drop-In Program: Winter Holidays, 11 a.m. – noon
Drop-In Program: Winter Story Time, 2 – 2:30 p.m. and
2:30 – 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 30: “Winter Fun”
Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Drop-In Program: Animal Tracks, 11 a.m. – noon
Drop-In Program: Winter Lanscapes, 2 – 3 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 31: “Winter Creations”
Hours: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; US Bank Eve event, 6 – 9 p.m.
Drop-In Program: Snow Globes, 11 a.m. – noon
Drop-In Program: Snow and Ice Construction, 2 – 3 p.m.

Friday, January 1: Closed

Free Family Sunday
Dec. 6, 2009,  and Jan. 3, 2010

First Sunday of every month, noon-5 p.m.
Free admission for all visitors

Book It to the Museum!
Grab your library card and book it to the museum! The Book It to the Museum program aims to connect surrounding area libraries and Madison Children’s Museum. Participating libraries will have a designated month during which patrons can visit the museum and present their library card for a free admission.*  Check the schedule below to see when you can get into the museum for free with your library card!

2009 Year of Science
MCM is joining museums across the country in observing the Year of Science 2009. Organized by the Coalition for the Public Understanding of Science, the 2009 Year of Science offers public programs and events for all ages with monthly themes including Physics and Technology (March), Energy Resources (April), and Sustainability and the Environment (May). Stop in for our new Story Time Science programs on the first and third Wednesdays of each month for hands-on activities exploring these monthly science themes.
