Dream Machine
Take the helm of MCM’s first kid-elected exhibit! Through the summer and fall of 2004, museum visitors learned about our political process and how to become informed voters as part of the Museum’s civic engagement initiative.
Children created campaign advertising, studied the attributes of the candidates and, ultimately, voted their preferences in our Kid’s Choice Exhibit Election. The Dream Machine beat back a stiff challenge from its esteemed challenger, Pin Wall, and swept into office with a little help from the MCM exhibit fabrication team.
Whether you prefer to travel by land, sea, or air, the Dream Machine will get you there in style, fueled by the high octane imaginations of our visitors. Kids can raise and lower the sails, fire up the turbines, man the lookout stations, hook a mighty tarpon or set off a series of bells and whistles that are sure to delight.
