Dig Into Dinosaurs

Girls in Dinosaur TentThe centerpiece of this popular exhibit is a paleontologist’s camp and dig site. Modeled after a real site in New Mexico, our dig offers visitors the opportunity to use real tools while chipping away at a sand/wax mixture to carefully unearth the bones of a Hadrosaur. There are plenty of props on hand to help you map your dig site, record measurements, catalog your finds and compare notes with other paleontologists back at camp.

The exhibit also includes a mini science lab, which includes opportunities for open-ended exploration with scientific instruments and fossil samples.

Younger visitors will find plenty to explore in Dig into Dinosaurs too- engaging in imaginative play, interacting with super-sized, three-dimensional T-Rex and Stegosaur models, creating dinosaur art or feeding the baby dinosaurs.
