Outreach
Family Access program
All children deserve the opportunity to experience the museum regardless of their ability to pay. The Family Access program offers a range of options for families including $.25 admissions, $5 annual memberships, outreach programming, group visits and Free Family Sundays made possible by generous underwriting support.
Education Outreach - Mobile Exhibits and Programs
Have you spotted Madison Children’s Museum’s colorful van in your neighborhood? It’s out and about Madison and Southcentral Wisconsin bringing the magic of learning through play to preschools, schools and community events.
MCM’s outreach programs bring mobile exhibits and education programs to children and families as a way to connect more families into the museum as well as a way to work toward reducing some of the barriers families face in participating in the museum.
In 2006, 24% of MCM’s total audience was served through Family Access programs.
- On site attendance: 82,415
- Off-site outreach programming: 11,908
- MCM National Touring Exhibits Program: 48,000
- Family Access programming: 22,199
