This Month in the Bakke Art Studio
In February, the monthly concept is Texture. We will display work by Cambridge second- and fourth-graders, including beautiful weavings, and work by children at Creative Learning Preschool. There will also be a special showing of work from Madison’s Hawthorne Elementary School students that focuses on art teacher Julie Olson’s collaborative project on the Harlem Renaissance, including work inspired by both artists and musicians. Olson will be joined by several of her fifth-grade students, and they will lead visitors in a collage project.
Twilight Art Night

Twilight Art Night offers the opportunity to meet some of the artists whose work is on display, and to learn more about how public art was incorporated into the building. Enjoy free admission on Twilight Wednesday, the first Wednesday of the month, from 5-8 p.m.

SPARK! is an intergenerational family program for children 7 and up, their parents, and a grandparent with early memory loss. The program is a monthly free pre-registered art workshop featuring art looking, art making, and a reception with refreshments.
