About the Sale
The American Girl Benefit Sale is a fundraising event that attracts thousands of customers from all around the country. Throughout the year, Madison Children’s Museum volunteers prepare for the sale of overstock merchandise donated by American Girl.
Funds raised over the past 24 years amount to approximately $14 MILLION! This year-round effort generates up to 35 percent of Madison Children’s Museum’s annual operating budget. These funds fuel the museum’s efforts to provide award-winning exhibits and help sustain the Family Access program, which provides low-income families with free or subsidized access to the museum and its programs.
The remaining proceeds support programs and services for children in Dane County through American Girl’s Fund for Children.
