FEBRUARY

Juniors: Detective Badge
Friday, February 24, 10 a.m.–noon
Girl Fee:  $8 (does not include badge)
Registration Deadline:  Friday, February 10

Description: Roll up your sleeves and investigate clues as you explore detective work. The workshop includes a play break in the museum’s exhibits. Troops may stay after the workshop to further explore the museum. Does not include badge; troop leaders should order badges for their girls through the Girl Scout store.

Brownies: Making Friends
Saturday, February 25, 10–11:30 a.m.
Girl Fee:  $7/girl (doEs not include badge)

Description: Make friends of all ages. Create and share unique and collaborative stories with elders in the community. The workshop includes a play break in the museum’s exhibits. Troops may stay after the workshop to further explore the museum. Does not include badge; troop leaders should order badges for their girls through the Girl Scout store.

Brownies: Home Scientist
Sunday, February 26, 2–4 p.m.

Juniors: Playing the Past

Description: Imagine what it would be like to be a girl living in the past.  What would your daily life look like? How would you dress?  Learn about those things and more at this scout workshop presented by MCM and the Wisconsin Historical Museum.  Does not include badge; troop leaders should order badges for their girls through the Girl Scout store.

Daisies: Rosie Patch
Saturday March 10, 10–11:30 a.m.
Girl Fee:  $6/girl (does not include badge)

Description: Read Rosie story and make homemade paper with seeds to use for cards or spring planting. Daisy Petal programs include ½ hour facilitated program and 1 hour of free-play in the museum.  Does not include badge; troop leaders should order badges for their girls through the Girl Scout store.

Description: Spend an unforgettable night at Madison Children’s Museum! Our first Camp-In at the new MCM includes hands-on activities, an evening snack, a light breakfast, and a special Madison Children’s Museum patch for each girl. Girls will c0mplete activities toward the Pets patch (Brownies) and Animal Habitats patch (Juniors) through evening workshops in our Rooftop Ramble and Wildernest exhibits.

 

APRIL
Junior Girl Scouts and Webelos Cub Scouts : Product Designer Badge

Description: In this workshop about research and development innovation, learn about the tools of the trade that are used in the research and development of new and improved products that we use everyday, then design and make a prototype of your very own creation.
