Brownies: Celebrate Community

Learn about what a community is and what makes ours special. Troops may stay after the workshop to further explore the museum. Troops will complete four activities toward the Celebrate Community badge.

When: Saturday, April 13, 10a.m.–noon

Brownies: Making Friends
Make friends of all ages. Create and share unique and collaborative stories with elders in the community. The workshop includes a play break in the museum’s exhibits. Troops may stay after the workshop to further explore the museum. Troops will complete three activities toward the Making Friends Badge.

When : Saturday, April 20 , 10–11:30 a.m.

Daisy Workshop: Tula: Courageous and Strong
Visit the Madison Children’s Museum and earn your Tula petal. After reading  Tula’s Story, Daisy’s will have the opportunity to make a collage or sculpture of an animal that they think is courageous and strong out of different materials. They can climb to the top of the two-story climber and go down the slide, walk in the human gerbil wheel or pet a chicken during their visit to grow their courage for trying new things.  This program includes a half hour facilitated program and an hour of open-ended explorations in the museum.

Juniors: Product Designer Badge
Become a Research & Design Innovator: Learn about the tools of the trade that are used in the research and development of new and improved products that we use everyday, then design and make a prototype of your very own creation.

When: Sunday, May 5, 1–3 p.m.
Girl Fee:  $8
Registration Deadline:  Friday, April 26

Juniors: Gardener
Description: Visit the rooftop garden on top of Madison Children’s Museum.  Explore garden design, learn how to choose garden plants and experiment with seeds.  The workshop includes a play break in the museum’s exhibits. Troops may stay after the workshop to further explore the museum.

When: Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m.–noon
