Madison Children’s Museum joins the Wisconsin Book Festival to host a mini-festival for young readers and families. Enjoy all of the museum’s hands-on exhibits in addition to the following programs:

Make Books!
Tanya and Ximena from Animita Cartonera in Chile, and Tania from Sarita Cartonera in Peru will be here conducting a one-day workshop on making cartonera books. Children will create book covers out of cardboard for La Lupa, an Animita Cartonera publication. The story is about a young boy who finds a magnifying glass that eventually leads him to his discovery of the telescope. After looking at and discussing the story, children will be able to make covers for their own copies of La Lupa.
Ages 3 and up with a parent/guardian

Visit the program room each week for Toddler Music Class. Classes take place every Thursday 10:00-10:30 a.m., and Friday 9:30-10 and 10-10:30 a.m. The cost is $1.00/child. Reserved spots are available via a season pass available at the front desk.
